The Gin Palace, Glasgow

I've been selected as one of the designers for the next Gin Palace event in Glasgow called //Details to Follow//. The Gin Palace was set up last year to exhibit innovative designers throughout all disciplines at a series of pop up shops. Check out their website www.theginpalacecollective.co.uk to see photos from their last event and information for the forthcoming selling event taking place in April...where you'll be able to browse and buy GraceInk work. I'll keep you posted with updates of the work I'm producing for the event.

Meet Your Maker Exhibition, National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh

I'm helping out with this fantastic exhibition in Edinburgh at the moment, it's well worth a visit. It's called a 'living exhibition' as some of the artists exhibited are creating work within the exhibition space throughout the duration. It's been set up by CraftScotland who are on the up and up at the moment; check out their website for more details. www.craftscotland.co.uk

Easter at the Dragonfly Studio

Just got the postcards back for an Easter event me and Val (I share a studio with this lovely felt-maker) are hosting and I love them, they look a lot like the one above but with some more information on the front and back and the building on the front is our wonderful studio having had a bit of a photoshop makeover! There will be screen-print demonstrations and lots of felty things to get your creative juices flowing or just pop along to have a nice day out. Please get in touch to find out more!

Pens at the ready...

Here's me working away on a new repeated design, I've finished one layer of the design so only three to go (as I've decided to screen-print 4 colours) and then I can sort out the printing bit...exciting! It's been a while since I've done a full on repeat and since getting out my graph paper I've been having a great time recapturing the olden days (well about 2 years) and raiding my bank account to pay for copious amounts of pens which I keep blunting. Expect to see a lot more over the coming months.

How to start a blog...

I've been wondering how to start this blog for over a month now and have finally decided...I've had greeting cards bought by a new online shop Blombos Cave and I'm really looking forward to the website going live, but thought I'd give a sneak peek first. All the cards are derived from my own illustrations of my travels and these ones are specifically Hong Kong and India...if you hadn't guessed I have a bit of a thing for drawing shoes, but then Indian slippers are just so intriguing to draw with all their jewels and coloured threads. I'll let you know when the website goes live...so you can buy buy buy!!
